Sync4j 2.2
Es tut sich wieder was auf der Open Source SyncML-Front!The Sync4j team is very pleased to announce the release of Sync4j 2.2 beta 1. At the same time, Sync4j 2.1 becomes the stable release.
Major changes in 2.2 (for more details, check the "What's New in 2.2" page):
- Sync4j bundle now passes the "1 minute test" on Windows from installation to synchronization, thanks to a new installation package, a visual PIM client demo and a PIM Web demo interface.
- a SyncClient PIM for BlackBerry is now available.
- an XML<->vCard/vCal converter allows seamless synchronization of SyncML phones with all the Sync4j SyncClients.
This is still a beta version, not intended for deployment in production. It is available for test and development purposes: feel free to submit any feedback and point out any problem you encounter.

Höchst interessant finde ich die "visual PIM clien demo" sowie das "PIM Web demo interface". Letzteres halte ich für lange überfällig - wenns dann irgendwann auch noch ähnlich gut aussieht und funktioniert wie bei Mobical, wäre ich vollends glücklich. Dazu noch die Integration in eine schöne Web-Groupware wie OpenGroupware..?Schade nur, daß ich wohl im Moment keine Zeit finden werde, das Paket überhaupt auch nur anzutesten. Seufz.
